Tom Duffy first connected with Galaxy Sport after attending one of our financial wellbeing workshops at the Cowboys.
As a Townsville local, Tom was keen to get onto the property ladder, take advantage of available first home buyer incentives and secure a property in his hometown.
THE PLAN
Galaxy Sport worked with Tom to identify the right property and had his finance pre-approved so he was ready when the opportunity arrived.
When the property went to auction, our team flew to Townsville and bid on Tom’s behalf, successfully securing his first home.
From there, the focus was on maintaining strong financial habits and preparing for the next opportunity.
THE RESULT
Tom’s first property has since increased in value by more than $250,000, giving him a strong start to his property journey.
His football career has also taken a new direction, with Tom now at the Broncos, but his financial ambitions have continued to grow.
With strong savings habits behind him, Tom is now searching for his second investment property.
Tom and his partner have a clear ambition — to build careers, assets and a future that extends well beyond football — and Galaxy Sport will continue to guide them along the way.
